Child Injury Prevention Preconference

It has been 10 years since the World Health Organization published the “World Report on Child Injury Prevention.”

While the global health community has made great progress in advancing child safety, we still have work to do. The SDGs provide a unique opportunity for child injury prevention by creating new opportunities to encourage a human rights approach to injury prevention and to better integrate it into the broader 2030 Agenda. This pre-conference will highlight aspects of this unique opportunity for child injury experts interested in drowning prevention and pedestrian safety.
